There are many types of projector screen available. In our hire stock, we offer both front and rear projection screens. These screens are also available in various sizes. Additionally, our screens fold down for ease of transport.
A rear projection screen is used with the projector behind the screen, shooting the images towards the audience. This means that the image is less likely to be obstructed, and offers a less cluttered look. However, there needs to be adequate space behind the screen to allow room for the projector to work correctly with the screen. Furthermore, these types of screens offer better colour and contrast in bright ambient lighting.
In contrast, a front projection screen will work better in a darkened room. They are also better suited to a smaller room as the screen can then be placed against a wall and the projector moved to the optimum position. There can be a disadvantage of people or objects blocking the image.
